Seattle Sound
UI Design, Data/Info, Personal
An interactive module built in Processing.
Design advised by Christian Schmidt.
Seattle Sound is a soundscape map of the City of Seattle. The sounds are collected personally and plotted on a map based on the longitude, latitude and altitude of the sound recorded.
Locations that are underground are also taken into consideration. The Seattle Metro Tunnel is one notable example.
Users are encouraged to interact with each sound recorded. The sounds can be turned on or off, creating a layering effect accumulating to an overall soundscape of Seattle.
